INSTRUCTIONS

Welcome! Thank you for accepting to contribute to the School on the "Advances in Systems and Synthetic Biology". This School brings together each year 70-90 researchers with different scientific backgrounds and with varying levels of transdisciplinary experience. They range in experience from the PhD student to the seasoned Principal Investigator. A distinctive feature of this School has so far been a blend of criticism and courtesy that facilitates crossdisciplinary interactions. A complex system has sometimes been defined as a system whose understanding requires multiple viewpoints. Accordingly, each session typically examines the same biological object or topic from several viewpoints which are often provided by speakers from different disciplines. To ensure a rewarding experience for all the participants of this School, please read and give consideration to the following guidelines, which are based on a decade's experience.

Thank you for your cooperation.
